Stop browser resizing in Firefox
Now and then I’ll still run across a website that insists on resizing my browser for me. Well, no thanks Mr. Self-Proclaimed-Web-so-called-master. Well I came across this great tip for Firefox users on how to disable browser resizing.
- In the address bar, type: about:config
[you may wish to do this in a seperate tab] - Scroll down to the attribute labeled:
dom.disable_window_move_resizeand simply double-click on that attribute to switch it to “TRUE”. I believe the default attribute is false. You may also right-click on the item and select “Toggle”. It will appear bold when you have user-specific settings that differ from the default settings - Restart Firefox and you’ll be in control of your browser’s dimensions and size.
