Feelin’ kinda … flat

Last night I had the joys of changing my tire — it apparently went flat while I was at work. As if it wasn’t bad enough changing my tire in the dark, balmy evening, the spare tire broke on me. Apparently a quart of oil was stashed next to the spare tire and leaked all over it. So it almost goes without saying that when the rubber met the road, the rubber didn’t stay where it was supposed to… ON THE RIM.

I didn’t get very far.

So I get to drop some coinage into some new tires — I’ve been needing new tires, and I guess circumstances sorta forced me to get them done now and no later.

And the towing company… they were a joke (save for the guy who actually decided to come and get me). The guy who WAS supposed to pick me up decided he was going to leave work early and told the other driver, “yeah, go get this guy’s car for me. I’m leaving work early. I think he’s got a ride, so just go get his car and bring it to the Tires Plus at ___.”

Fortunately the second driver stopped by to check on the car and saw that I was there WITH IT… so instead of getting picked up at 7:00… I was picked up at 7:45. I coulda totally gotten the tires fixed LAST NIGHT, but not so much thanks to the lazy driver at Feist Automotive Group in Golden Valley. Unfortunately they don’t have a website that I can GoogleBomb… so just be aware that if you need a tow, they might not be able to pick you up when they say they’re going to.
