		<description>I ran into the same problems you did with IE's strange implementation of the CSS box model and then I found the Modified SBMH (Simplified Box Model Hack) here:

It is an ugly hack (this coming from someone who actually used to code in GW-BASIC), but it does work and spares in frustration what it lacks in elegance.</description>
